We all know someone who goes all starry eyed and sentimental over a great collection of vinyl albums, with the cover art being just as precious as the music it encloses. But in our technological world, these small pieces of nostalgia are becoming redundant, sentenced to spend the rest of their lives packed away or collecting dust.
Well, not any more, as up-and-coming Australian company Corner Block Studio have designed timber hanging frames for displaying vinyl album covers on the wall.
The brands founder, Natalie Lane, explains the inspiration behind the design: "My father-in-law gets credit for inspiring the Record Jacket Frame. When Gordon was in his 20's, he won a full collection of The Beatles albums on vinyl from a competition at his local radio station. The first Record Jacket Frames are in his home, displaying this prized collection."
The Record Jacket Frame is a go-to gift for the hard-to-buy for muso's young and old, providing a stylish way to give new life to old favourites.
The unique design was first developed by Corner Block Studio for their debut product, the Book Frame. The simple, clever framing system is now available as a Book Frame, Record Jacket Frame and Card Frame.
