The Karma Collective’s mission is to help protect and improve the lives of animals in need. They are able to do this by donating 10% of profits from all sales of their gift and homeware ranges to animal welfare organisations.
Since launching in 2016, The Karma Collective have donated over $40,000 to various causes. Between November of 2016 and February of 2018, The Karma Collective supported a range of charities and causes including those who assist Australians with cancer and whom assist during global disasters. In March of 2018, it was decided that they would focus solely on animal welfare projects.
Over the last twelve months, The Karma Collective have donated over $18,000 to the Sun Bear Outreach, who are a not-for-profit organisation who aim to improve the lives of captive sun bears in Indonesia. Sun bears have been classified as a vulnerable species due to their population rapidly declining due to deforestation, illegal pet trade and the cruel bear bile industry.
Donations from The Karma Collective have helped the Sun Bear Outreach build a forest enclosure for rescued sun bears in Borneo, as well as helping fund a rehabilitation project that aims to rehabilitate and release sun bear cubs back into the wild, where they belong.
Audrey Martin, founder of The Karma Collective works closely with organisations they donate to and volunteers where possible. In 2019, Audrey spend some time in the Borneo, assisting with the rehabilitation of a sun bear cub named Khala.
From March 15th, The Karma Collective will be donating 10% of all sales to the World Animal Protection, in a bid to help support native Australian animals.
The Karma Collective’s signature product is their unique candle range. Each of their candles are hand poured in small batches and are available in a variety of different scents from vanilla & caramel to cacao & amber.
The Karma collective aim to make the world a better place, through these initiatives and acknowledge that they could not do so without the loyal support of their community with the hope of continued growth in order to increase their support of animal welfare.
