Eleanor Cullen joins The Launch Pad with an inspiring dinnerware brand.
A new range of minimalist and highly durable dinnerware will join The Launch Pad at AGHA Sydney Gift Fair for the first time in 2018, featuring colourful placemats, snack bowls, plates and grip cups inspired by Scandinavian design.
We Might Be Tiny products are ergonomically designed and perfectly crafted for use by small children at meal times.
The business was founded two years ago by Eleanor Cullen, a user experience designer from Melbourne, while she was on maternity leave with her first child.
The functional and practical products have since gone on to win a first prize design award from Junior Design Magazine in the UK for Best Children’s Dinnerware and are currently stocked at children’s boutiques and home interior stores in over 35 countries around the world.
“An opportunity to exhibit in The Launch Pad provides a great way for independent designers to showcase their innovations and products, which is what attracted me to being a part of AGHA Sydney Gift Fair,” Cullen told the Australian Gift & Homewares Association (AGHA).
“I’m interested in getting more exposure to stores located throughout New South Wales. I also have several new products that I’m looking to release this year, so having the opportunity to share some concepts and gather feedback from potential new customers really appeals to me,” she explained.
According to Cullen, participating in The Launch Pad adds a new and exciting dimension to the marketing mix for We Might Be Tiny, which up until now has been promoted predominantly through Instagram.
“Instagram is how many of my customers and retailers have discovered the brand so far, however there is a whole world of business people who don’t use social media to source new products and therefore there is still a massive untapped market,” Cullen said.
“Everyone who sees our products falls in love with them, so being able to exhibit at a trade-only show will provide me with fantastic exposure. I’m really looking forward to potential customers having the opportunity to touch and feel our products.”
We Might Be Tiny recently expanded its offering with a new range of well-received silicone dinnerware and is now scouting for fresh stockists, particularly gift stores who appreciate a simple aesthetic and provide unique products to their customers.
