AGHA has caught up with exhibitors who showcased impressive new season ranges and enjoyed great success with visitors at the recent Sydney Gift Fair.
This week, we speak with Sunil Gupta, director of sales and marketing at Vintage Nautical Australia about his experience at the event.
Did Vintage Nautical Australia launch a new product range at Sydney Gift Fair?
“Our business is a one stop destination for those looking for variety of vintage style home decor, gift items, nautical collectables and medieval armour in Australia. This February at Sydney Gift Fair, we were delighted to introduce our new styles of medieval armour.”
How would you describe the response of retail buyers to your brand?
“The buyer response was positive and very encouraging. We had a great uptake in new stockists and customers from around the country and two of our medieval armour styles are now completely sold out, so we had a fantastic response.”
Why is Sydney Gift Fair an important marketing function for your business?
“Vintage Nautical Australia has become one of the most popular names and biggest importers of nautical and medieval collectibles. Since we launched in 2013, trade exhibitions such as Sydney Gift Fair have become essential for us to be able to reach and meet customers from New South Wales and Queensland.”
Do you have any other exciting news that you’d like to share?
“Recently, we have been approached by many museums to supply our products which is a testament to the authenticity of the range. We offer a unique and niche market product, so there are challenges but at the end there is great satisfaction and pride in providing exceptional service and product quality.”
