Albi, leading home and kitchenware wholesaler, has announced the acquisition of VGM – another key force in kitchenware. The move is exciting for Albi, VGM, customers and the wider industry as the fusion of both company’s strengths will lead to an unsurpassed product range and entry into fresh markets.

Albi Managing Director David Danziger believes the acquisition bolsters Albi’s position as the 'one stop shop' of Australia's home goods market - "We're excited to have John, Meagan and other members of the VGM family join us at Albi. As there is little in the VGM range that clashes with our existing products, we can only together grow in strength. Not only will there be continuity, but expansion across new and existing product categories."

This provides a major growth opportunity for Albi customers who can reap the benefits of a diversified range and a brand to suit consumers at every level, all from the one supplier.

Currently based in Sydney, VGM will shortly join Albi at its Melbourne base. Both Albi and VGM have proven track records within their respective market segments, and share a vision to move forward as Australia's ultimate kitchenware wholesaler.

Founded in South Africa, investment holding company Coast2Coast Capital Group acquired Albi in June 2016, with a view to using the business as a platform for further sector expansion.
